Army & Navy Numbered GAR Medal - Ribbon has a pin hanger on the back. Attached to the ribbon is a brass patriotic spread winged eagle perched on drop medal. In the points of the medal are the emblems of different arms of service, bugle for infantry, cannon for artillery, muskets for marines, swords for cavalry, and an anchor for sailor. The reverse of the medal is stamped, "REGISTERED 2930" with maker mark "GM ROBBINS CO MASS."
