Leather bound pocket diary of John Strawser, who enlisted as a private in the 38" Ohio Infantry in August 1861 and saw three years of service. The diary measures 5 ½" by 3 ½" and covers his service in the Atlanta campaign from July-September 1864. There is some great content about the continuous marching and skirmishing involved in that campaign. Below is a transcript with original spelling left as is.
