Battlefield Pick-Up Cartridge Box

Original .58 caliber leather cartridge box. Manufactured by T.O. Williams of New York. Interior of the box is complete with original tin inserts and roller buckles.  Missing closure tab.  The brass finial is the early war rounded pattern, and the flap was never pierced for a cartridge box plate indicating it could have been in Confederate service.  The original ink paper label is partially legible and would make an excellent project to decipher.
