Pair of candelabras manufactured from six Model 1822 French bayonets, a common imported arm in the early years of the Civil War. The bayonets are screwed to canister balls and decorated with chains and a bayonet tip at the center of each candelabra. Likely a product of Francis Bannerman, the most prolific military surplus dealer of the late 19th to early 20th century. Each measure approximately 17” in height. Wonderful and scarce “trench art” pieces for any militaria collection.
