Billet Belt - Inventory Number: BEL 518 / SOLD
This wonderful red cotton and leather single billet belt is the epitome of the Confederate service. This pattern waistband was more common in the southern Army than the CS and State belt plates of the era as documented in many Confederate images. This simple, yet utilitarian design was favored for holster rigs and bowie sheaths alike. The integral tongue device fastens with a roller buckle which is affixed to the via a leather tab which is outfitted with a keeper loop. Scarce example for any Confederate enlisted display.
