Brown Bess Bayonet - Inventory Number: BAY 124 / Sold

Brown Bess Socket Bayonet made by John Gill.  This is a British Land Pattern socket bayonet for the Brown Bess musket used during the Napoleonic Wars of 1793 - 1815.  John Gill was a contractor for the British Army who worked from 1808 - 1828.  The bayonet has a blade length of 16 inches and an overall length of 20.5 inches.  The bayonet is in good, solid overall condition, very nice original bayonet.
