Carte de visite image depicting Ulysses S. Grant and his family in front of the Capitol dome. The image likely dates to 1867, the first year of Grant’s presidency, as it depicts his eldest son Frederick in his West Point cadet uniform. Also surrounding Grant are his wife Julia, sons Ulysses Jr. and Jesse, and daughter Nellie. In good condition with a slight crease at top left. 

Comes housed in a 5 x 6 inch display case with black velvet backing and descriptive card.
