Civil War Artillery Tongs - Inventory Number: ART 210 / SOLD

Tongs were inserted into the "ears" of a mortar ball and then lifted by the chain at the top.  There are 13 links of chain at the top.  Red paint appears to be original to time period.  Each tong is approximately 12 inches long.
