Civil War Camp Style Shaving Mirror - Inventory Number: CAM 558

Embossed zinc compact traveling mirrors such as this were widely used during the war. Most were imported and sold by town merchants and sutlers to the soldiers in camp. This one is embossed with a scroll and dot design. Wire stand and ring are present on the underside. Lid is lined in fuchsia colored paper. A nice item for a Civil War camp display.
