    "Harvard Regiment" Civil War Discharge of John Kennady, 37th and 20th Massachusetts Infantry - Inventory Number: DOC 261 / SOLD

    Eagle masthead discharge of John Kennady, who was a private in the 37th Massachusetts and transferred to the 20th Massachusetts at the end of the war. Kennady was born in Cork, Ireland. He was 21 years old upon enlistment and stood 5’6”, with light complexion, grey eyes, light hair, and worked as a Brasser in Springfield, Massachusetts. He was wounded on May 5, 1864 at The Wilderness.

     

    Residence Springfield MA; a 21 year-old Brass Moulder.

    Enlisted on 8/13/1862 as a Private.

    On 9/2/1862 he mustered into "K" Co. MA 37th Infantry

    He was transferred out on 6/19/1865 at Washington, DC

    On 6/19/1865 he transferred into "K" Co. MA 20th Infantry

    He was Mustered Out on 7/16/1865 at Washington, DC

    He was listed as:
