Civil War Eagle Breast Plate - Inventory Number:  BEL 410 / SOLD

Original non -excavated Civil War eagle cross belt plate constructed of stamped brass with lead fill.  These plates adorned the cartridge box shoulder sling, and this example retains both iron loops on the reverse and a rich, uncleaned brass patina on the face. The plate is slightly bent along the edges from hard use. A well worn but attractive example.

Comes housed in a 6 x 8 inch display case with black velvet backing and descriptive card.
