Civil War Eagle Breast Plate - Inventory Number: BEL 387 / SOLD
Nice, excavated example of the standard regulation eagle breast plate worn by infantryman on the cartridge box sling. The face exhibits high detail and a slick, deep green/gray patina. The reverse is missing both iron attachment loops. Dug in northeast Arkansas. An attractive example from a little-known theater of the Civil War.
Comes housed in a 5 x 6 inch display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
