Civil War Eating Utensils - Inventory Number: CAM 587 / On-hold
Classic enlisted eating utensils of the Civil War. Manufactured and marked by American Knife Plymouth New Hampshire. This knife, fork and spoon combination is the size of a large pocketknife and has a similar shape. One side has a folding spoon and fork while the opposite side has a knife. Both sides are typically detachable at center using two tongue and groove joints. When separated you have a half with a spoon on one end and a fork on the other while the other half has a knife. However, this example appears to have been modified by the soldier to remain together. “J.B” carved into the handle of the knife.
