Civil War Heavy Artillery Powder Bag - Inventory Number: ART 209

Scarce Artillery Powder Bag, the gun powder would have been loaded into this light wool "U" shaped bag.  It would be pierced prior to firing with a friction primer.  This example is beige in color with light blue stitching.  Very good condition overall.  Fine example.
