Civil War Housewife - Inventory Number: CAM 303 / Sold

Excellent original example, constructed of fine leather and silk.  The sand filled body contains an ornate sterling silver thimble and hundreds of original pins and needles.  An original buff colored silk ribbon for closure is present.  An old ink note containing the address: 194 High Street, Portland, Maine is located inside.  Very nice example with a remarkable amount of original pins and needles!
