Civil War Maine Button - Inventory Number: BUT 277 / SOLD

Three-piece Maine staff coat button depicting the state coat of arms on the face and the backmark “SCOVILL MF’G Co./Waterbury” with intact shank. The button is in very good condition with a high level of gilt. Listed as ME200A2 in Tice’s button book. A very fine example. 

Comes housed in a display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
