Civil War Medical Bleeder - Inventory Number: MED 086 / SOLD
Three graduated blades marked: BAM / Cast Steel. Brass has the original owners name scratched in surface: William Monday and the initials W.M. on the other side. Blades and housing are in excellent shape. Measures approximately 3 1.2" As a medical therapy, bleeding or bloodletting endured for approximately 2,500 years. It was only abandoned at the beginning of the 19th century.
