Civil War Medical Canteen / SOLD

Scarce Civil War period tin hospital canteen/hot water bottle. Oval and kidney shaped soldered tin construction with metal handle affixed and a hard rubber stopper. This pattern is also known to have carried quinine as well. The body of the canteen measures 8” by 6” and is 1 ¼” thick. Very nice original example.
