Civil War Musket Sling / SOLD

This is an original, unmarked Union infantryman’s regulation pattern leather sling used with Federal muskets. The rifle sling measures 1¼” wide x 64” long and retains its brass hook and two of its original leather belt adjusters. Constructed of black bridle leather, original leather slings for Civil War muskets are difficult to find but this leather rifle sling is a good specimen of Federal leather equipment and would add to any Civil War accoutrement collection or on a musket.
