Civil War Naval Officer - Inventory Number: HAR 148 / SOLD

Sixth plate ambrotype of Second Assistant Engineered photographed sometime between February 1862 and March 1863 in scarce thermoplastic case (Berg 2-18). The image is a little bit dark but has been sensitively tinted.  The clasp is damaged and a hairline crack on one side.  A rare early war hard image of a USN officer.
