Civil War Officer's Hat Cord - Inventory Number: UNI 065 / SOLD

This Civil War officer uniform accoutrement is a pleasing combination of black and brown thread interwoven with bright gold and black thread that produced a handsome hat cord accessory. This officer’s hat cord, worn at the base of the crown on his slouch hat, is in very good original condition. The cord features two handsome netted acorn-shaped tassel ends intricately braided over gold bullion. Cord is complete with the black netted bullion knot adjuster to fit the base of the crown on the officer’s slouch hat. Entire hat cord is in very good condition with no pulls or rips. These uniform accessories are becoming difficult to find. A fine specimen of an officer’s original hat cord.
