Civil War Regulation Army Cup - Inventory Number: CAM 371 / Sold
An awesome example of the regulation army cup showing honest use in the field and on march. Soldier carved a design on the bottom to identify it as his own. This style is pictured early in the war produced under government contract and issued to soldiers. This cup being the standard federal pattern from the beginning of the war. Constructed of tinned iron sheeting, the cup is roughly 4 inches tall and 4 inches wide, with crimped seams and a handle secured with wires and a rivet to prevent it coming apart over a hot campfire. Would look wonderful displayed with a canteen that saw service.
