Civil War Tin Effects Case - Inventory Number: PER 069 / Sold

Excellent condition travel case constructed of tin with an enamel japanned finish.  A utilitarian case of sorts, these suited the purpose from protecting documents and various other items from the elements while on the march.  This example measures 24 inches tall, 8 inches wide, and 6 1/2 inches deep.  The previous collector had a very accurate strap made for the case which is included.
