Civil War U.S. Artillery Fuse Pouch - Inventory Number: LEA 429

This is the regulation Civil War artillery fuse pouch, intended to carry some of the essential tools for a gun crew and worn on a leather with a roller buckle. Constructed of russet leather with two belt loops sewn to the upper rear of the box and a closure tab secured to the inside of the flap by a single line of stitching. The finish shows some crazing and wear from use.  The closure tab remains but is torn. A well-used example and a must have addition to a Civil War artillery or accoutrement collection.
