Civil War Valentine - Inventory Number: PER 423 / SOLD

Scarce original Soldier’s Valentine.  This embossed card features a hand-colored soldier standing sentry near a fire.  The oval image appears to be two pieces which open to expose a center scene. Due to the framing, we have not explored the inner image.  There is a paper poem entitled True Joy.  A unique personal item from the war!
