Clipped Corner Militia Plate - Inventory Number: BEL 206 / SOLD

Classic military plate of the 1850-60’s. This example is widely seen  in period photos of early war confederate troops.  This fine, non-excavated example retains a nice finish with gold gilt and mild patina.  The back of the plate retains the tongue and belt loop, affixed with oxidized solder of the period.  Neat example!
