Mid war bond issued from the Confederate Capital at Richmond, Virginia. The bond is dated February 20, 1863 and is number 24,562. The center design is a Confederate officer leaning against a tree. The printer of this bond is Archer & Daly, Richmond. At the bottom are 10 coupons. The first was redeemable January 1, 1864 and the last on July 1, 1868. Approximately 33,000 of these bonds were issued. Bond is in good condition overall. Bottom had red treasury marking, printed on pink paper. Nicely framed. Framed measures 17" x 21 1/4".
