Confederate Bowie Knife - Sold

Excellent example, fresh from a 40+ year collection of Civil War relics.  This impressive knife measures 19 ¼”.  Clipped point blade measure 13 ¾”, The wooden handle is lathe turned forming a series of concentric stacked swells with an iron collar device, just beneath the “S” shaped iron guard.  The tang is seated into a zinc washer.  Most likely manufactured in Georgia based on other documented examples. Outstanding example!
