Battle of Gettysburg
Excavated Confederate Louisiana two-piece coat button. The face depicts a pelican feeding her young. The button came out of the ground in pieces and has been repaired with glue. There is a small amount of gilt visible around the pelican. The back is blank and retains the thin wire shank. From a collection of local Gettysburg Relics recovered in the 1950’s. Accompanied by certificate of authenticity.
Comes housed in a display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
