Confederate Tin Drum Canteen - Inventory Number: CON 144 / Sold

Beautiful untouched example of the classic Civil War manufactured Confederate tin drum canteen.  One side is flat the other is concave.  The flat side bears the soldier's initials in 1" large letters "P.W." there is some additional information which is tough to decipher.  It retains its original 1" ta;; tin spout and all three sling retention loops.  Measures 6 1/4" x 2" with a 1" rolled tin spout across the face and 2" deep.  A wonderful Confederate canteen from an early collection, untouched since the war.
