    1792 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Document Signed Governor Mifflin to the Carroll of Carrollton!

    Remarkable land purchase document signed by Governor Thomas Mifflin (signer of the Constitution) pertaining to Charles Carroll of Carrollton (signer of the Declaration of Independence). He Mifflin was a delegate to the Constitutional Convention in 1787 and signed the United States Constitution. He then presided over the committee that wrote Pennsylvania's state constitution, after ratification in 1790, becoming Pennsylvania’s first Governor. Mifflin left office as governor in 1799 and died the following year

    Charles Carroll of Carrollton or Charles Carroll III was an American politician, planter, and signatory of the Declaration of Independence. He was the only Catholic signatory of the Declaration. Also considered the richest man in America.  Charles Carroll was the longest surviving signer, dying 56 years after its signing. Document is in good condition and a magnificent historical collectable.
