Standard regulation M1851 NCO sword belt plate measuring 50mm by 83mm with the median rays extending downward indicating a true NCO variety of plate.
The face of the plate generally shows an even dark patina and crisp detail., the applied wreath is lacking as is the case with excavated examples. Back of belt plate shows an integral tongue. Overall, a nice example of a plate with a one-piece. Recovered from Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Comes housed in a 6 x 8 inch display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
