Original 1863 art CDV showing slaves with Lady Liberty, who is holding the Emancipation Proclamation. The slave on the left is holding a U.S. flag, the one on the right is wrapped in a flag and has shackles on her feet. A dramatic scene painted by G.G. Fish and published by John P. Soule. 4 x 2.5" with plain back. Very good contrast.
Comes housed in 6 x 8 riker display case with red velvet and descriptive card.
