Excavated Model 1835/42 Bayonet, Fairfax Station / SOLD

Bayonet made for the model 1835 musket and widely used with the 1842 musket. In nice relic condition, this one is missing the locking ring and is broken down to 15.25 inches. “Fairfax Station” is painted in white on the triangular blade, an area in northern Virginia that saw a flurry of activity from both sides throughout the entire Civil War.
