Excavated U.S. Eagle Breast Plate: Inventory Number: REL 074 / Sold

Nice, excavated example of the standard regulation eagle breast plate worn by infantryman on the cartridge box sling.  The face exhibits a nice deep woods patina with some dirt remaining on the surface. The reverse has the lead fill, with one of the iron attachment hooks still present. Battle of Cold Harbor.

Comes housed in a 6 x 8 inch display case with black velvet backing and descriptive card.
