Exceptional Civil War Era Collapsible Field Telescope - Inventory Number: MIS 264 / SOLD

Exceptional Civil War era collapsible field telescope. The lens section draws out from the body of the scope, which is tightly covered with tarred macrame which is indicative of naval service. The eyepiece is opened and closed with a small, sliding brass aperture. The optics are very good. A nice overall example for a civil war or nautical collection.
