Field and Sea Telescope / SOLD

1840’s – 1860’s 4 - Draw Telescope. This is a first-class example of the large size telescope, with 30X magnification!  Measuring an impressive 37.5 inches when extended completely. It measures 10.5 inches when collapsed. The body and optics are in very good condition and functional. The eye piece has an internal sliding lens cover which is likewise functional. The main tube is covered in leather with embossed makers mark. Sunshield is present.  A choice example of a mid-1800’s telescope.
