Fleam - Civil War Era Bleeder Device that surgeon's used for bloodletting. The outer sleeve is brass and the blades are steel. The brass on the outer sleeve has a light to moderate patina. The four blades have light surface rust. As a medical therapy, bleeding or bloodletting endured for approximately 2,500 years. It was only abandoned at the beginning of the 19th century.
