Excellent early Gettysburg excavated condition of a Civil War Union breast plate worn on the strap of the cartridge box. The back still has most of the lead remaining and both of the iron attachment loops. Nice example with strong detail to the eagle. Nice plum colored patina. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity attesting to its recovery at Gettysburg,
