Gettysburg Relic Canteen – Inventory Number: GET 512 / SOLD

Canteen from the Gettysburg Battlefield. This canteen was formerly part of the York Springs G.A.R. post and was recovered from the field of Gettysburg. Although lacking the spout, the condition is sound with no rust holes, some surface rust and minimal pitting. The collection housed many "battlefield pick-up" items in the same condition. There are hints of gold veterans paint on the body of the canteen.
