Hanoverian Bullet Mold - Inventory Number: BUL 481
A unique looking bullet of the Civil War. The Hanoverian bullets come in a huge range of sizes. This example is .55 caliber. They are found widely in Europe where the tige method was employed for a short time. By the time the Civil War came along, these had largely fallen out of favor because the post/stem upon which this system depended quickly wore down in use. This bullet has been excavated in various camps associated with Confederate troops.
