“Rebel hat belonging to Jay. Fible Co. “H” 4th Kentucky Cavalry”
Accompanied by a detailed research binder and certificate of authenticity. This hat is constructed of a beige woolen material nearly identical to that of T. Frank Brown's hat shot from his head at Gettysburg. The base of the crown retains a woven cotton band which shows wear and evidence of sweat. The sweatband is lacking. The crown interior was professionally restored and is only slightly visible when displayed from the exterior. This is an amazing opportunity to acquire an identified CS slouch hat of a Killed in Action soldier for a fraction of the value. This has priced as restored does not harm the aesthetic value of the display, nor its incredible history.
