India Rubber Telescoping Cup with Tin Case – Inventory Number: CAM 477 / SOLD

Mid-19th century Goodyear's Patent antique hard rubber cup complete and in its original blue lacquered tin travel case. The case lid is embossed “INDIA RUBBER - TELESCOPING TUMBLER - MADE BY - THE INDIA RUBBER - COMB C.” The original 2 5/8” wide case remains in very good condition and retains most of its period blue finish. Difficult to find as they frequently lost a section and were cast aside in the period. A scarce and unique item for the Civil War personal item or hard rubber collector.
