Infantry "Hunting Horn" Insignia - Inventory Number: INS 220 / SOLD

This insignia has the original Civil War loop attachments soldered to the back. The horn measures 3 ½" across. These insignia were attached to the tops of forage caps and on the face side of Hardee Hats. It is believed this horn was manufactured by Thomas N. Hickcox of New York City who had very large contracts to produce these and other insignia.
