Wonderful original example of the civil war era eraser, this sharp, scalpel like device was used to make paper corrections by scraping to remove ink. Manufactured and marked by Joseph Rodgers & Sons Sheffield. The bone handle is in excellent condition as is the original pasteboard sheath. Possibly the nicest example we’ve had to offer.
