Ivory Day Diary with Pencil - Inventory Number: PER 077 / SOLD   

This is a Civil War era ivory pocket diary with a functional ornate catch and original pencil. A soldier or person wrote their notes in pencil and then erased them when no longer needed. There are 6 ivory pages, Monday through Saturday. Sunday being the sabbath.  The ivory diary measures 2 5/8" long x 1 7/8" wide.
