"Jeff Davis" Hardee Hat Insignia - Inventory

Original stamped brass "Jeff Davis" or Hardee Hat eagle insignia used to pin up the side of the Army felt dress hat. Brass surface has a rich bronze patina and both original loops affixed to the reverse as well as the wire to crimp the hat brim. Nice example of a classic Civil War insignia.
Comes housed in a 5 x 6 inch display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
