John Burns  – Civilian Soldier of Gettysburg - Inventory Number: DOC 203 / Sold

A historic pair of documents issued to John L. Burns a civilian soldier at Gettysburg.  Burns was a Town Constable for Gettysburg.  This is the same man wounded in the fight during the Battle. These documents include 1.) 1857 “Search Warrant” document was issued to him in his capacity as Constable.  2.)   1857 Adams County court subpoena pertaining to the same case. A rare set – personally carried by John Burns.
