The obverse features an undraped bust of President Johnson facing to the viewer's right with the caption "ANDREW JOHNSON, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES 1865". The reverse depicts an Indian and Columbia clasping hands beneath a bust of Washington atop a pedestal inscribed "PEACE". Die by Anthony Paquet.
