Original Civil War patriotic cockade from the state of Louisiana.  Measuring 4” x 2 ½“mounted on red cotton bunting with a white crocheted ribbon.  Button depicts the state seal of a mother pelican feeding her young with a rope border.  This originated from an old collection in Richmond, VA.

Comes housed in a 6 x 8 inch display case with blue velvet backing and descriptive card.
